The current state of Guremuni community has geared natives to voice out their concerns, crying for help from the government and other NGOs to come to their aid. Gurimuni is a community under Wa Central battling with bad roads, frequent flow of portable water and infrastructure for educational purposes.

The community currently lacks school buildings to enable them have quality education. “ Yes, of course we have buildings for educational purposes where students go to sit and learn but it’s not enough also there is no JHS in the community so students are forced to travel to the next community in other to get access to education. Also talking about infrastructure, the school has only three class room buildings so from primary 4 to 6, students sit under trees to learn. So with this when it is raining, teaching and learning cannot take place.. We are pleading with cooperate bodies to come to our aid if not all but at least from primary 1 to 6 can get class rooms while JHS students still walk to the next village, with this alone we will be happy“ he added.

Infrastructure for educational purposes isn’t the only challenge in Guremuni, they also suffer from bad roads. Roads leading in and out of the community are all not in good conditions. Anytime there is emergency, sometimes they get the bad results on arriving at the municipal or regional hospital due to the poor condition of the road. Mr. John also a member from the community said “ We are pleading with anyone with the ability to help the community to kindly come to our aid, authorities are much aware of the situation but is doing nothing about it. Because of the bad nature of the road, traveling to nearby villages especially in the rainy season is difficult. We have educated elites from the community but they don’t come home due to the condition of the road. So we believe if have good road leading in and out of the community natives will be willing to always come back home”

Frequent flow of portable water in the community is not an exception. A  borehole which was given to the community by the National Democratic Party (NDC) is still in existence but doesn’t flow frequently.
