Health Minister calls for all hands on deck to tackle cholera outbreak.

The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has called on health workers, religious bodies, the media, and other stakeholders to ramp up public education and awareness to stop the spread of cholera.

During his visit to the Winneba and Swedru municipal hospitals in the Central Region, the Minister observed a significant decrease in cholera cases, with no deaths recorded in the past three weeks

He expressed his satisfaction with the hospitals' efforts to set up isolation centers for cholera patients.

Meanwhile, the minister has edged the general public to get  Oral Vaccine which has been made available to all needs to take it as a preventative measure against the continued spread of the disease. 

The minister got vaccinated earlier at the Mamprobi Hospital in the Accra Metro.
