This afternoon, the venerable and development oriented Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency, Bede A. Ziedeng, together with the Lawra Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. John Adongo, who represented the MCE for Lawra at this ceremony, the Lawra NDC Constituency chairman, Mr. Joe Bati, and his executives and other party faithfuls handed over four hundred and sixty-five(465) pieces of street lights to a contractor for installation in all the twenty-nine(29) electoral areas in the Lawra Constituency. Each electoral area is to benefit from fourteen (14) street lights.
The MP in his remarks indicated that he got these street lights from the Ministry of Energy sometime this year. He explained that what he initially received from the ministry wasn't enough to cover the entire Constituency. So he had to lobby for additional street lights. Thankfully he lobbied and got additional street lights. The cost of the installation is valued at about Forty-three thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh43,000.00) which he is paying from his Common Fund.
The Lawra Municipal coordinating Director commended the Hon. MP for this great effort in supporting the Lawra municipal assembly lit the Lawra municipality.
More grease to the elbows of the workaholic MP, Hon. Bede Ziedeng.
